Anchored on the essential component of personhood that deals with intra/interpersonal relationships which allow harmony with oneself, with others and the environment, this course will highlight the fundamental rules of good manners and appropriate conduct or behavior of each learner which are necessary of the formation of character that embraces the core values of maka-Dios, Maka-Tao, Maka- Bansa and Maka-kalikasan.

This 3-unit course focuses on child and adolescent development with emphasis on current research and theory on biological, linguistic, cognitive, social, and emotional dimensions of development. Further, this includes factors that affect the progress of development and shall include appropriate pedagogical principles applicable for each developmental level.

This is an introductory course that explores basic knowledge, skills and values in the use of technology for teaching and learning. It includes ICT policies and safety issues, media and technology in various content areas, learning theories and principles in the use and design of learning lessons, teaching-learning experiences and assessment tasks that utilize appropriate traditional and innovative technologies with social, ethical and legal responsibility in the use of technology tools and resources (CMO 74/75 s 2017, Annex A)

This course is designed to provide the historical and legal foundations of special education and the educational implications for the teacher and exceptional child.

This course includes the fundamental concepts and principles in curriculum and curriculum development as a foundation to engage prospective teachers as curricularists. The more active role of the teacher in planning, implementing and evaluating school curriculum as well as in managing school curriculum change vis-à-vis various context of teaching-learning and curricular reforms shall be given emphasis.
